It is a question that has always sparked my interest, but one that I cant say with certainly that it HAS actually happened. I know that yes we have gone to space, and that YES we have built the space station and the others that have come and gone before the ISS. BUT have we actually done what has been said and made it to the moon.
Yes there are so many pieces of information out there to say yes, Photos, astronaut stories, media and movies. However there are definitely questions that I have my self, and I know others have too.
Why in all the pictures and video footage from there are their no stars?? Yes they say its because its day time and you don't see stars from here on Earth when its day time. But are they telling us that from space 250000 miles from Earth the atmosphere is hindering the ability to see stars too. Really, that is the only reason we cant see them during the day from here. The Moon has no atmosphere, therefore there is nothing to obstruct the sight of other stars, especially if you are looking aways from our sun, there is no particles or anything in the vacuum of space to stop you from seeing them, this is why they put Hubble into space, so they could get a better, clearer view of the universe WITHOUT the obstruction of our atmosphere.
Second, How is it that in the 1960's we were able to overcome the radiation barrier between here and our Moon, and now we cant, our technology is so incredibly superior to then it is hard to even compute the leaps forward, but we cant get a man back there safely just yet. HUH???? we DID in the 60's RIGHT?? why not now?
Lastly Why is it that we cant see where the landers and rovers were with our telescopes, the Moon is phased locked and the same side is always facing us here on Earth, but no matter how big of a telescope I have looked through I have not seen any evidence of us being there. I know they didn't land on the dark side of the moon, because they said it was day time because they couldn't see the stars, the photos from there also showed that they were in sunlight, that means, yes they were on the visible side of the moon. WHERE are the landers and flags and stuff???
These are all my thoughts and questions that I have, feel free to give me your own views on the subject, I am an open minded person and I truly wish we travel to the stars one day, but I don't think it is today or in the 60's.

Why is the universe expanding faster and faster?
Being the first of my comments, I would like to take this opertunity to say hello and welcome to my blog. I have never done this before so if there are any critisisms or tips along the way feel freee to share them with me.
I have often wondered as do most of the astronomical world why it is that the Universe is flying apart faster and faster. I have watched and read so many different documantaries and books on the subject and have not gotten any real answers other than my own views on the problem.
We have heard so much about the Dark Energy theory, however it is just that, they know its there but cant see, hear or touch it. It is a puzzle too, BUT it is not the puzzle that I am interested in today. Why is the Universe accelerating and expanding?
My personal belief is much simpler than all the scientists working on the problem, but sometimes simple gets looked over when too many brains are trying to find a dificult answer. Lets just say the Universe is like our Solar System, it has a center that has a large gravitational pull and everything else is falling around it just like our planets, except the planets are now all the galaxies, stars and, well the whole Universe.
Now just say that the center of our spinning universe does not have as good of a hold on the rest as our sun does with our system, this would cause the planets (or in this case galaxies) to begin to spin faster and in turn exert more energy into pulling away from the center.
We have all seen this before with a simple hammer throw at the Olympics, the athlete spins around faster and faster holding a ball on a chain and lets go. BOOM there you have it, the gravitational force of the center no longer has control over the object spinning around it.
Now obviously this is a little more complicated that the ball and chain because our universe has not broken completely free from its centers hold, but its chain is stretching and slipping allowing our galaxies to rocket out further and faster because with every turn the gravitational hold lessens due to the speed of the universes spin and because of that the galaxies and everything else have the ability to go even faster and pull even harder which makes it easier and easier to overcome the gravitational hold our universe center has.
I honestly think that in the future the Universe will fly apart, as predicted by some of the scientific world, and I believe it will be because the speed and therefore pull of our universe of galaxies will be so great that the center will just let go. And just like the ball and chain, fly off into the unknown.
So with this thought there can still be the mysterious Dark Energy and Matter that is perplexing so many, but it is also a plausible thought of how things work.
One last thought before I finish out,
In this universe we have Large and small galaxy clusters (all moving in the same manner as I just described), we have the galaxy model, again doing the same dance, then the solar systems, still moving in the same manner, round and round, like a ball on a string. and on an even smaller scale the planets and their satellites (moons or machine) still doing the same thing, Moving around the gravity well in the center . If you look at our own moon, it is speeding up, it has been since its creation, and it is also moving away, eventually over the next few billion years it will be fast enough and far enough away to break from the Earths pull, and when it does it will fly away to settle in the next biggest gravity well and orbit that.
I know my thoughts may not be right in some minds, but that doesn't matter, whats a thought? something that others can look at and possibly agree with, or dismiss and a non truth.
This is my thought on the matter, and my belief.
